UTICA boiler troubleshooting



For different reasons, the key ones of which are high hardness of water, violation of the rules of service and an incorrect installation, Utica boilers can be broken down. The troubleshooting system chart is provided below. It contains the list of typical malfunctions of Utica boilers, indications on their possible causes and removal methods.

Blocked vent blownOpen radiator vents to expel air. Check flow control valve (if used). It may be in closed position.
Vent damper not operatingCheck over current protection. Check relay operation.
Check all control terminals and wire joints.
Have your service agent check heat exchanged for blockage.
Replace rollout switch with exact replacement.
Have your service agent check venting system and chimney for blockage, or down draft condition. Reset blocked vent.
